What is a Bank Account (ACH) payment?
When you make a payment to WorldRemit from within the US, you can pay direct from your Bank Account through the ACH payments network. ACH payments are a safe and easy way to transfer money from one bank account to another without using paper checks, credit card networks, wire transfers or cash.
Can I pay from my Bank Account (ACH) in my send country?
If you choose to pay WorldRemit from your Bank Account in the US, then this will be an ACH transfer. ACH is not available anywhere else in the world. If you’d like more information on this, including the maximum amounts you can send, please click here.
How does the Bank Account (ACH) payment process work?
Once you have created a transfer you will be asked to select a Payment Method so you can pay the transfer amount to WorldRemit. Select “Bank Account” and you will be directed to your bank login so that you can enter these details safely in order to authorise your payment. Once you have logged in, you will be able to select the account from which you would like to pay. This will set up a one-time debit from your checking account to ours. It means that these login details will need to be entered each time you make a payment via ACH.
How long does a Bank Account (ACH) transfer take?
Making a payment via ACH will take up to four working days to reach our account. This means that when you select Bank Account payment, it will be a slower service. If you send a transfer using ACH, your transaction could be held for up to four working days to ensure receipt of funds..
Which banks support ACH payments?
Bank Account payments are currently supported by almost 200 banks from Alpine Bank to Zeal Credit Union.
What should I do if my Bank Account payment is declined?
We won’t know why your Bank Account payment is declined. We wouldn’t have access to that information. If you have a Debit or Credit card to use, we’d encourage you to retry using these.mation.
Will I be charged for paying by Bank Account?
There are never any hidden or extra fees when using WorldRemit. The total you need to pay is outlined when you create a transfer. However, depending on the bank you use – they may charge you to make an ACH payment. But the charges are never made by WorldRemit.
Can I pay using someone else’s bank account?
No. The money you send as a payment must come from your own bank account. That’s because as a financially regulated company, we need to ensure that we know the identity of our customers – and this includes the source of the funds they pay with.
How long does an ACH refund take?
If you decide to cancel your transfer which you made using a Bank Account payment, we will refund you as soon as we confirm your cancellation is valid. Depending on your bank, it may take 2-5 working days for the refund to reflect on your account.
