This is a guide to help you change the recipient or their details for your transfer. Please note that this may not always be possible. You can read our Need to change something page to find out why. 

 

Changing details on one of our apps

  1. Log in to the app on your mobile phone. Once logged in, you will arrive on the home screen.
  2. Look for the sections at the bottom of the screen and select Activity.
  3. You can find Transfers in progress at the top of the Activity screen. Select the transfer you want to change.This will take you to a different screen.
  4. Select the Need to change something link that’s available on the screen.
  5. If your transfer isn’t in the right status, you’ll get a message that says you can’t change anything for that transaction yourself.
  6. If you can edit your transfer, you can change the recipient's name, mobile number or email address. You can also change their bank or mobile money account details sometimes. 
  7. Once we've completed the change, you’ll receive an SMS and email to confirm the change  
  8. Sometimes we need to check your new details so we'll tell you "Your change request has been received". Once we've made the change we will confirm it by email.

Changing details on a desktop or laptop computer

  1. Log in to the app on your computer. Once logged in, you will arrive on the home page.
  2. Look for the My account section at the top left of the page. Click on it to expand it.
  3. Click on it to expand and select the My transactions option from the list.
  4. Transfers in progress will be located at the top of the page. Select the transfer you want to change.
  5. This will take you to a different screen. Select the Need to change something link that’s available towards the middle of the page.
  6. If your transfer isn’t in the right status, you’ll get a message that says you can’t change anything for that transaction yourself.
  7. If your transfer can be edited, you can continue to change your recipient’s name, mobile phone number or email address.You can also make changes to their bank details. 
  8. Once we've completed the change, you’ll receive an SMS and email to confirm the change  
  9. Sometimes we need to check your new details so we'll tell you "Your change request has been received". Once we've made the change we will confirm it by email.

Changing details on the website on a mobile device

  1. Log in to the app on your computer. Once logged in, you will arrive on the home page.
  2. Look for the My transactions section - you have to tap on the “person” icon in the top right corner of your device.
  3. Transfers in progress will be located at the top of the new page. Select the transfer you want to change.
  4. This will take you to a different screen. Select the Need to change something link that’s available towards the middle of the page.
  5. If your transfer isn’t in the right status, you’ll get a message that says you can’t change anything for that transaction yourself.
  6. If your transfer can be edited, you can continue to change your recipient’s name, mobile phone number or email address. You can also make changes to their bank details.
