How does Refer a Friend work?

1. If you meet eligibility criteria, you will see your referral link and your referral code in the app after you’ve made your first transaction with WorldRemit 

2. You should share your unique referral link or your referral code with your friend

3. Your friend should sign up using your unique referral link or add your referral code in the field during registration

4. Once your friend sends the specified minimum amount, you’ll both receive a reward voucher (reward voucher amounts may differ per the country you’re sending money to, and they country you’re sending money from) 

5. You can use the voucher on any of the upcoming transfers (until the voucher’s expiration date, and as long as the minimum send amount requirements are met) 

Referring a friend is simple: for every friend that signs up with your unique referral link and sends the specified minimum amount, we’ll send you both a reward voucher. 

To become eligible for receiving the referral code, you need to make at least one transaction with WorldRemit. Other eligibility checks may be performed, and referral codes may not be available in all countries. 

Once you’ve received your referral code, you can start sharing it right away, subject to your Refer a Friend Terms & Conditions.

When the person with whom you’ve shared your referral link decides to sign up for a WorldRemit account, make sure they use your referral link or add your referral code in the referral code field on the sign up form. 

When they send the minimum send amount specified, both you and your friend will see your rewards in the WorldRemit app.

The availability of the promotion, minimum send amounts and voucher values may vary based on the country that the person you referred is sending to and from.

You can use your voucher with any future transaction (dependent on a minimum send amount) until the voucher’s expiration date - so enjoy a little saving on us! 

Why haven’t I received my referral code?

If you’re eligible for the promotion, once you’ve completed your first transaction, you will see your unique Refer a Friend link and code in the reward section of your WorldRemit app.

If you can’t find your referral code on your account, this usually means that you haven’t successfully send a transaction with us just yet, or you’re sending money from and to a country where the promotion isn’t supported at the moment.

Why isn’t my referral code working?

Your referral code might be inactive if the person that you sent the code has breached our Terms and Conditions, or is no longer a WorldRemit customer. 

You can only use the voucher linked to your WorldRemit account - you cannot apply someone else’s voucher to your transaction. 

Also, make sure that you’re using your voucher code and not your referral code, as these two are two different codes. An example of a voucher code is REWTSUDAPH9W.

Lastly, check that the minimum send amount conditions may apply in order to use your voucher, and make sure your voucher is still within its expiration date. 

When will I get my Refer a Friend voucher?

Once your friend has sent the minimum send amount, you will see your reward in the discounts section of your WorldRemit app.

When will my friend get their voucher?

Once your friend has sent the minimum amount required, they will be able to see their reward in the discounts section of their WorldRemit app.

My friend signed up with my referral code and sent the minimum transfer amount but we haven't received the reward?

You and your referee will receive a reward if both you and your referee is based in either United States, United Kingdom or Australia and sent money to specific countries.

If your referee is based in the UK or Australia they need to send money to Colombia, Pakistan, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Nigeria or Nepal in order either of you to receive a reward.

If your referee is based in the United States they need to send money to Pakistan, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Nigeria or Nepal in order either of you to receive a reward.

The reward amount will vary depending on both where your referee is based and where they're sending money to.

How do I use my Refer a Friend voucher?

Add your voucher in the promo code field on your next transaction and the voucher amount will be automatically deducted from the total send amount.

You can only use your voucher once, until its expiration date.
