What is refer a friend?

Refer a friend is WorldRemit’s referral scheme. It’s simple. If you recommend us to your friends, colleagues or family and they use us to send money - you can both get money off your next transfer.

To do this - the person you (as an existing customer) refer must be a new customer. Once they transfer a certain amount with us (more details below), you’ll both receive a voucher for money off your next transfer.

Don’t forget to mention to your friends that, as new customers, they can also use our 3FREE offer to get their first 3 transfers fee free. That’s even more savings for them.

How does refer a friend work?

To take advantage of this programme, simply follow these steps:

1. Find your unique referral code (see below)

2. Get a friend to sign up with us and make sure they put in your referral code

3. Wait for your friend to send a transfer - over a specific amount, depending on their country

4. We’ll send you both a money-off voucher to be used in the next 12 months!

To be eligible, you must have sent a transfer with us. Once you’ve done this, we’ll create a unique referral code for you and send it to you via email. You’ll also be able to find this code on the ‘Refer a friend’ page on our website or app.

When you recommend us to a friend, make sure they enter your code when they sign up. They’ll find the option for this on the sign-up form.

As soon as your friend transfers a set amount with us - you’ll both receive a money-off voucher via email.

How do I get my referral code?

If you’ve made a transfer with us in the past, you should already have a unique code. As soon as you send your first transaction, we send you a referral code by email.

You can also find it by looking on the “refer a friend” page on the website (you must be logged in) or via the app.

How much does my friend need to send to qualify for refer a friend?

This will depend on what country they are based in, and therefore what currency they’re sending in.  (Note that this refers to what country they’re sending from, not which country they’re sending to).

The amount they send doesn’t need to be all in one go; it’s a total amount, so can be built up over multiple transfers.

When will I receive my voucher and how much is it worth?

Once your friend has sent the required amount, we’ll send your voucher to the email address linked to your WorldRemit account and send one to your friend. If you can’t see the email with the voucher, be sure to check your spam folder.
