I usually send money with Lebara, so what does this mean for me?

From April 10th 2018 Lebara is introducing its Lebara Money customers to WorldRemit as we become Lebara’s new Official Money Transfer Partner.

To welcome our new customers from Lebara to the service, we would like to offer our new customers from Lebara a special introductory offer of zero fees on your first two WorldRemit transfers.

The exchange rates and fees were different with Lebara – why?

I'm used to locking in my rate for 30 days. Why can’t I do that with WorldRemit?

WorldRemit offers very competitive rates that are updated 365 days a year. We can offer push notifications via your mobile if you want, giving you the chance to see the latest rate each day. This offers you the highest level of transparency for every transfer.

Can I send money to the same countries as I do with Lebara?

You can send to over 145 countries with WorldRemit, over 100 more than with Lebara. At present we don't support sending money to the following countries which Lebara supports:

• Iceland

• Liechtenstein

• Luxembourg

• San Marino

• Switzerland

What about notifications?

Once you sign up with WorldRemit, you’ll be able to select the notifications you’d like to receive, including exchange rates and offers relevant to the countries you’re sending to and from. You can find out more about our push notifications here.

If I download the WorldRemit app I’ll lose all my recipient contacts. Why can’t I transfer them?

We're a separate company from Lebara, which means you’ll need to sign up with us to store your contacts. This is very easy to do on our app and means that the next time you send money to the same person, the process will be extremely fast.

The promotion code LEBARA provides the Lebara customer with a 100% discount on money transfer fees on their first transfer with WorldRemit. This code is valid for one transfer until 11pm Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on 30 April 2019.
