WorldRemit expands online money transfer service Australia

25/4/2012 | 1 minute read

WorldRemit has now launched in Australia, enabling migrants to send money back home with payment methods including debit cards, credit cards and POLi

WorldRemit, the leading online money transfer business, has now launched its service in Australia. The service enables migrants to send money to family and friends back home using a variety of payment methods including debit cards, credit cards and POLi.

Worldremit's online money transfer service offers compelling benefits to hard-working migrants in Australia who on average spend more than an hour travelling to and from agent locations or bank branches to send small regular transfers.

Traditionally migrants used to send money home through agent locations which meant withdrawing cash from a bank, taking time off to visit an agent and queuing up to hand over cash. In some cases the travel costs of those who don't live near agents are more than the amount they send.

Now customers can send money from the privacy and convenience of their own home or office without the need to queue up at an agent location or bank branch.

"With fees from $4.99 and 24/7 availability, the new service offers unprecedented convenience and competitive pricing," said Ismail Ahmed, CEO of WorldRemit.
