Lower-cost money transfers to Botswana in time for Christmas

Gaborone and London, 14 December 2017: The leading digital money transfer company WorldRemit has expanded its service to Botswana, bringing lower-cost fast transfers to the country in time for Christmas.  

Diaspora living and working in over 50 countries, can now send remittances as easily as sending an instant message, using the WorldRemit app or website to several cash pickup locations in major towns across the country.

The digital-first service greatly increases customer convenience as there is no need to visit a bricks and mortar agent to carry out a transfer and funds can be picked up in a matter of minutes from locations in Botswana.      

Botswana has a diaspora communities living in the US, Australia and the UK. The World Bank estimates that the country received $43 million dollars in remittances in 2015.
