Envoyer de l’argent avec Interac

See below for answers to your questions about sending money using Interac.

What is Interac?

Interac is a payment provider that withdraws money directly from a bank account upon request.

Can I pay by Interac in my send country?

We can accept Interac as a way to pay in Canada. If you would like more information on this, including the maximum amounts you can send, please click here.

Why was my Interac payment declined?

If your Interac payment declines, the best thing to do is to contact your bank’s payments or authorisation department who will be able to give you more information.

WorldRemit will not be able to see the reasons for a declined Interac payment.

Are there any extra fees for paying by Interac?

There are no hidden or extra fees when using WorldRemit. The total you must pay is outlined when you create a transaction.

The only exception would be if your bank usually charges you to make Interac payments. If this is the case, the charge will vary dependent upon the bank, and is not charged by WorldRemit.

Can I pay using someone else’s Interac account?

We need the money you send to come from your own Interac account.

As a financially regulated company we need to ensure we know the identity of our customers – and this includes the source of the funds they pay with.

How long does an Interac refund take?

Once cancellation has been confirmed, a refund will be credited within 2 – 3 working days.

This can vary, however, dependent upon your bank. If you need further information on this, please check with your bank.
