Completing your transfer
Learn how to solve common problems when it comes to completing your transfer.
My payment won’t go through
Your payment may not be processing for a number of reasons. To help solve the issue, please follow these steps:
1. Check that your payment details have been entered correctly, such as:
The correct card number, expiry dates and security codes.
For online banking (such as Sofort or Poli), please ensure your login details have been entered correctly. Contact the provider if you have forgotten these details.
2. If all details are correct, please check why the payment has been declined with your payment provider. In some cases, you may need to approve the payment with your provider before returning to us to complete the transfer.
I don’t understand how exchange rates work
Exchange rates seem complicated at first, but are actually straightforward. An exchange rate is the amount that one currency is worth compared to another.
Factors that affect exchange rates - making them higher or lower - include:
Supply and demand
Consumer confidence
Balance of trade
Inflation
National debts
When exchange rates go up and down, it can be confusing to know when is the best time to send. In the WorldRemit app, you can set up exchange rate notifications so you can stay in the loop and know when to send.
All it takes is five simple steps:
Tap on ‘Account’
Go to ‘Settings’
Then ‘Notifications’
Tap on ‘Add’ next to ‘Exchange Rates’
Select which country you’d like notifications for
Just like that, you’re ready to receive up-to-the-minute exchange rate notifications.

I need help with sending money abroad
Sending money abroad is now easier than ever with WorldRemit. Download our app and you’ll be able to do it from anywhere; at home, on the go or in the queue at the supermarket! There are 130 countries you can send to with us, and the list keeps growing.
Once you’ve downloaded our app from Google Play or the App Store, sign up and enter your details when prompted, then choose a PIN.
We’ll need to verify the details you give, but you’re ready to send as soon as that’s done.
To send your first money transfer, follow these few steps:
Tap the Send Money button
Choose which country you want to send to
Enter the amount you want to transfer - you’ll see a breakdown of the exchange rate and fees. All our costs are up front with nothing hidden, so you’ll only pay what you see.
Next, choose how you want the money to be received and enter your recipient’s details. You’ll then be asked to complete your registration, but only this once - after your first transaction, we won’t ask you to do this again.
Continue on to choose your payment method, pay for your transfer, and then you’re done!
At this point, you can still make some changes if you need to, such as changing recipient details or your payment details, and request a cancellation.
Our Customer Care team is available 24/7 for online support, and you can track your transfer on every step of its journey in the app. You’ll receive a notification when your recipient has their money.
