What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service that lets users make payments using an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac.

Can I pay by Apple Pay in my send country?

We can accept Apple Pay as a way to pay for the below countries. If you would like more information on this, including the maximum amounts you can send, please click the country you live in.

Why was my Apple Pay payment declined?

If your Apple Pay payment declines, the best thing to do is to contact your card issuer’s payments or authorisation department who will be able to give you more information.

WorldRemit will not be able to see the reasons for a declined Apple Pay transfer.

Are there any extra fees for paying by Apple Pay?

There are no hidden or extra fees when using WorldRemit. The total you must pay is outlined when you create a transaction.

The only exception would be if your bank usually charges you to use Apple Pay. If this is the case, the charge will vary dependent upon the bank, and is not charged by WorldRemit.

Can I pay using someone else’s Apple Pay account?

We need the money you send to come from your own Apple Pay account.

As a financially regulated company we need to ensure we know the identity of our customers – and this includes the source of the funds they pay with.

In some circumstances we can accept payments from business accounts. We may, however, need to see official documentation that shows you have authority to make payments from these accounts before we will be able to release your transaction. If this is the case, we will contact you by email or phone to discuss this with you.   

You must also use your own cards when paying by Apple Pay.

How long does an Apple Pay refund take?

Once cancellation has been confirmed, a refund will be credited within 2 – 3 working days.

This can vary, however, dependent upon your card issuer. If you need further information on this, please check with your card issuer.
