As a result, we are required to confirm the following for all customers:

  • Date of birth
  • Residential address
  • 12-digit MyNumber (kojin bango)

To do this, we will need a number of documents from you.

  • Current Japan Driving Licence
  • Current Japan residence permit

2. MyNumber Card or approved alternative

  • Please send an image of the back and front of your MyNumber card

3. ‘Selfie’ photograph

We need to see a live photograph of you taken with a webcam at the time of making a transaction. If you are not able to upload your selfie with the link below, please contact us for further assistance

4. Proof of address

If your ID card (Residence Card / Driver's License / MyNumber Card / Certificate of Residence) has your address on it you do not need to submit a proof of address.

Otherwise, to verify your address we need to see a utility bill. This must not be older than 6 months and the address printed on this must match that on your WorldRemit account. Bills we can accept are:

  • Telephone bill
  • Electricity / gas bill
  • Water bill

If necessary, we can also accept a National Health Insurance card.
