I*mAyan. I’m a proud British-Somali and proud educator in the UK. My faith is important to me, and I think of it as a guiding force in my life’s journey. It holds me accountable and inspires me to give back in every way that I can.
But it is my community and both my cultures that make me who I am. So when I’m not running youth leadership workshops, I’m doing my best to connect with other British-Somalis just like me, and funding young changemakers in East Africa.
I’m making a world of difference here and back home, and I’m doing it by giving back to my community in the UK, but also by sending money to friends and family in Somaliland.
