WorldRemit launches Mobile Money transfers to Fiji
London. December 9th, 2014: WorldRemit - the mobile and online money transfer service - announces that customers can now send money to Vodafone M-PAiSA accounts in Fiji.
Money arrives in recipients’ accounts instantly, wherever in the world it is sent from.
Customers using WorldRemit’s recently-launched iPhone and Android Apps will be able to send directly from their smartphones to M-PAiSA accounts, with the convenience of a truly mobile-to-mobile experience.

Vodafone customers in Fiji are able to use their M-PAiSA accounts to pay household bills, make Housing Authority loan repayments and travel on public transport with the M-PAiSA contactless E-Ticketing card.
The well-integrated range of payment services connected to M-PAiSA is expected to make it a popular option for people receiving remittance payments from friends and family overseas.
Fijians received an estimated $198million in remittances from abroad during 2013, according to the World Bank.
