The role

We are looking for a talented Security Operations Engineer that thrives working within a fast-paced environment, has deep knowledge of operational security including incident response lifecycles and the management of security tooling and alerts. We embrace cutting edge technology, with a focus on minimising manual work and automating wherever possible.

As a Security Operations Engineer you will help drive the security operations capability as well as configuring & reviewing alerts, triaging and responding to security incidents.

You will have:

• Strong knowledge of information security principles.
• Strong knowledge of frameworks such as the MITRE ATT&CK® framework and other frameworks such as Cyber Kill Chain.
• Strong incident triaging and response skills and experience.
• Experience with vulnerability management lifecycle and gather vulnerability metrics, managing remediation of outstanding vulnerabilities in a timely fashion.
• Experience working with infrastructure and development teams to create and ingest the right logs, configure meaningful risk based alerting.
• Skills to automate your tasks (ideally using Python, Perl or Bash).
• Experience of working with public cloud including AWS and Azure.
• Ability to translate the security risk and impact to other departments and stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset.

You will be someone who:

• Loves problem solving and working collaboratively at pace.
• Is process oriented and designs repeatable consistent patterns and systems.
• Has a passion for understanding systems holistically and how systems work together.
• Has excellent communication skills.

 Nice to haves

• Security certifications (such as GIAC, CISSP, CRISC etc).
• +4 years of professional experience.
