Who are we?

WorldRemit is changing the way people send money abroad. We’ve taken something complicated and made it simple, so that sending money is as easy as sending a text message  Tap the WorldRemit app or head to  on our website, and your international transfer is made – to a bank account, cash pickup, Mobile Money, or airtime top-up. Founded in 2010, we send international remittances from 50 countries to more than 150 countries and we continue to expand our footprint.

Using WorldRemit is easy because we do the hard part, connecting hundreds of banks, money agents, mobile operators and payment systems around the world. These were never designed to work together, but WorldRemit makes it happen.

WorldRemit has grown - on average - by 50% year on year and is now processing over £3.1bn of remittances on an annualised basis.  WorldRemit’s success, and the size of the market it is operating in, means it has attracted investment from the world’s leading technology and impact investors, Accel, Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) and Leapfrog with $370m invested to date. We currently employ close to 1,000 employees and have offices in London, USA, Philippines, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and other locations.

 About the Role

This role is a critical leadership role for WorldRemit . It is a broad and influential role which shapes and delivers the growth roadmap for WorldRemit.  It leads the team that best understands across the business what is working and what is not, what efforts we should prioritize and how we measure success.  It relentlessly supports key projects to the finish line. 


  • Accountable for P&L, establishing go to market strategies, whilst cultivating broad stakeholder relationships
  • Collaborate and engage with the C-Suite to define and lead the WorldRemit strategy, optimising opportunities for growth and identifying areas of development
  • Lead on the identification and evaluation of long- and short-term growth strategies (top and bottom line), leveraging on specialist expertise across the organisation to support with the execution of initiatives
  • Develop collaborative relationships across multiple functions, setting clear objectives and defining robust outcomes, to accurately measure business impact
  • Relentlessly push key projects through the organisation (current examples: customer journeys; push app), ensuring focus and alignment to the overall commercial road map is achieved
  • Maintain exceptional competitor knowledge, to be able to foresee potential product enhancements that will support in achieving market leading status
  • Provide thought leadership and insight to create a more seamless user experience and end to end customer journey


  • Demonstrable experience in a senior commercial role, with the ability exert sound judgement and intuition, in times of ambiguity
  • Track record of leadership through influence, with the ability to prioritise across many levers and conflicting interests
  • Experience in a digital product-first company, with strong focus on customer and digital marketing
  • Proven success in building credibility through data-led decision making
  • Previous P&L experience for a comparably sized organisation
