Role Profile

We are looking for an experienced SEO manager to lead our global efforts across our key remittance corridors including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Spain and Germany.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director, you will be our expert and lead WorldRemit’s developments in SEO, managing day-to-day operations of search engine optimisation through cross-functional collaboration with marketing, content & communications, technology and our external SEO agency.

You will have overall responsibility for measurement, creation and implementation of search engine optimisation strategies that deliver on the company targets and ambitious growth plans, the main goal will be to drive new customer account acquisition and revenue from new and existing customers.

You will be hands-on but will also require strong strategic and decision-making capabilities, influencing and persuading key decision makers in the development and prioritisation of technology development, content creation and link management.

Able to work autonomously on your own initiative, you’ll be passionate about optimising the site architecture, content, localisation, semantics, internal and external links & social profiles to ensure WorldRemit provides quality and relevant pages for search engines. You will have a strong understanding of technical SEO optimisation, and proactively work with different departments to implement best practice technical optimisation projects.

You will have a proven track record in assuming ownership, moving quickly to implement ideas, and delivering results and in a fast-paced online environment.



  • Shaping, executing and managing the overall SEO strategy for WorldRemit globally.
  • Keyword research & input with content creation. Working closely with internal copywriters and managing freelance copywriters to develop optimised content for key parts of the website
  • Conduct regular analysis and identify patterns of how our target audience are searching within Google & make sure we have the right content to match intent
  • Working with the product team to ensure new website features & product releases are SEO friendly
  • Translating analytical findings into actionable insights and clear business recommendations. Comfortable producing business cases for project prioritisation.
  • Educating other areas of the business who indirectly impact SEO performance.



  • 4+ years’ SEO experience, with a proven track record of delivering strong SEO results in competitive industries (in-house or agency).
  • Up to date with organic ranking factors and latest algorithm updates.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Experience with rank tracking and competitor analysis tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, SEOmonitor, Moz)
  • Ability to drive clear, thoughtful, and comprehensive analyses of SEO activities.
  • Solid data analysis skills and ability to identify actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Proven track record in managing SEO projects from inception to completion in multiple languages.
  • Evidence of influencing and challenging key stakeholders to implement SEO strategies.
  • Proven ability to work closely with Technology, PR & Communications teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and keep track of team projects over time.
  • ASO and YouTube video optimisation would be an advantage.
