About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned and passionate marketing professional to help us drive growth across the African continent and among the African diaspora in Western countries. You will ensure that WorldRemit actively connects with our target audience in order to build brand awareness and engagement and deliver customer acquisition and revenue targets.

The Marketing campaign manager Africa will have a strong understanding of marketing in Africa and solid experience defining and executing marketing strategies on the ground.



  • Developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive growth in Africa. This involves:

o    Defining the campaign strategy (target, incentive, message, channel execution)

o    Project managing the campaign preparation and execution, developing detailed project plans and milestones

o    Managing marketing agencies for offline channels

o    Coordinating key marketing stakeholders from across WorldRemit

o    Managing budget

o    Managing the creation of assets

o    Tracking and measuring campaign performance and drawing key learning from each campaign


  • Developing joint marketing campaigns with our partners in Africa (banks, mobile money operators…). This involves:

o    Developing & running co-promo campaigns

o    Establishing brand visibility in our key receive markets, by working with our partners and agencies.



Summary of required experience & attributes


  • Marketing degree and at least 5 years’ experience in marketing
  • Solid marketing experience in Africa (incl. offline channels)
  • Strong cultural understanding of Africa
  • Previous experience in multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Structured and analytical individual
  • Excellent people skills and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Optimistic, can-do attitude
  • Humble and eager to learn, whatever the level of experience
  • Fluent in English



  • Another language is desirable
