Who are we?

Using WorldRemit is easy because we do the hard part, connecting hundreds of banks, money agents, mobile operators and payment systems around the world. These were never designed to work together, but WorldRemit makes it happen.

WorldRemit has grown - on average - by 50% year on year and is now processing over £3.1bn of remittances on an annualised basis.  WorldRemit’s success, and the size of the market it is operating in, means it has attracted investment from the world’s leading technology and impact investors, Accel, Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) and Leapfrog with $370m invested to date. We currently employ close to 1,000 employees and have offices in London, USA, Philippines, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and other locations.

About the Role

Based in London and reporting to one of our Heads of Product, you will lead the data analytics and reporting function within that tribe to help us improve the performance of our product through data insights.

You will be working in close partnership with product managers and designers, exploring ways to make it easier and faster for our customers to use our product. This includes a diverse range of product experiences from growing our business by acquiring new customers, right through to fraud prevention and financial compliance.

These areas are essential to the success of WorldRemit and key data-driven decisions will help us accelerate our rapid growth. You will be instrumental in helping us better understand our customer’s behaviours and in leveraging actionable insight to build a better product.

In this hands on role you will also need experience in the implementation of data collection frameworks, ensuring we collect data in a reliable and accurate manner. You will help drive a data focused culture around the business.


  • Challenge our Product roadmap with your data insights - this is a proactive role!
  • Help product managers understand how our customers are using our product, how changes to our product impact performance, and how to better use data to inform our roadmap decisions
  • Work closely with product managers to understand problems and stretch their thinking through challenging data
  • Plan testing and create success measurement frameworks to closely monitor the performance of new features
  • Take our analytics function to the next level: work with departments across the business to raise the bar for data analysis at WorldRemit
  • Help productionise new data source ingestion, automate daily tasks and functions, and explore how we could grow our Machine Learning capabilities
  • Manage multiple projects at the same time: know how to balance a workload, with good intuition on when you need to go deeper
  • Have an eye for detail and be excellent at breaking down complicated analysis for everyone’s understanding. You’ll be presenting your findings to stakeholders at different levels (including C-suite)

 Summary of required experience & attributes

  • Programming experience is essential: we use both Python and SQL
  • Experience in presenting your data reports and analysis to senior stakeholders (we use Tableau as a data visualisation tool)
  • We’re looking for someone hands-on. You’ll be passionate about using data to solve difficult problems and have previous experience in productionising your insights
  • Evidence of going deep into problems to draw out the root causes and essential insights that help direct the business
  • An incessant advocate for data, you’ll use data to challenge our assumptions. You’ll be confident in your work and happy to stand behind your findings.
  • A proven track record of working in a B2C business, preferably in the e-commerce space: you understand customer journeys and are always looking at things from the customer’s perspective
  • You will lead by example as we continue to establish data at the heart of our strategy
  • Innovative mindset – you will have informed views on the latest techniques and technologies and the most effective ways of trialling and deploying them
