When will funds be credited to bank accounts in South Africa?
South Africa Exchange Control Regulations require all recipients to complete an online Reporting Mandate form if you are sending money to them for the first time. Your transfer can only be processed once this form has been completed by your recipient.
Once the form is completed, the transfer will take 1 business day to be processed. Any subsequent transfers to the same recipient will be processed on the same working day.
Please see “What is the Reporting Mandate?” section below for more info.
What is the Reporting Mandate in South Africa?a
The South African Reserve Bank requires that all recipients complete a Reporting Mandate in order to receive money. Our local partner will contact your recipient by text or email requesting for them to complete the online form. Once the form is completed your recipient will be able to receive the funds and will not be required to redo the form for 1 year. As we have 2 partners for processing transactions in South Africa the Reporting Mandate request can come from either, or both, Bidvest powered by Exchange4Free or Hellopaisa.
If the recipient of the funds is having any issues completing the reporting mandate they can contact our local partners for support:
Bidvest powered by Exchange4Free:
Email: reporting@exchange4free.com

What will happen after the Reporting Mandate has been completed?
Once the Reporting Mandate has been completed, your recipient will receive an email confirmation. Our local agent will start processing the transaction shortly afterwards.
The cut off time for processing transactions is 12:00 noon (South African time). If the mandate is completed before the cut off time, the recipient’s account will be credited on the same working day. Mandates completed after the cut off time will be processed and credited the next working day.
Our local agent will guide your recipient through this process and we will notify you and your recipient by email and SMS when their funds have been credited.
