What type of bank accounts can I send to in the Philippines?

You can send to any checking/current, savings and business accounts.

When will funds be credited to bank accounts in the Philippines?

  • Metrobank: within minutes

  • Philippine National Bank (PNB): within minutes if the amount is less than 50k PHP. However, if the amount is more than 50k PHP, it may take up to 1 day, depending on the daily cut-off time.  

  • LandBank: within minutes if the amount is less than 50k PHP. However, if the amount is more than 50k PHP, it may take up to 1 day, depending on the daily cut-off time.

  • BDO Unibank: within minutes

  • Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI): within minutes

  • Any other bank in Philippines: within minutes if the amount is less than 50k PHP. However, if the amount is more than 50k PHP, it may take up to 1 day, depending on the daily cut-off time.

We may sometimes require further information from you before we can process the transfer in order to comply with our regulatory requirements. We will email you if this is the case.

Transactions with receive amounts more than PHP 50,000 will only be processed Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.


What currencies can I send to bank accounts in the Philippines?

Philippine Pesos (PHP) and US Dollars (USD)* only.

*BDO and Metrobank USD accounts only

How much can I send to bank accounts in the Philippines?


  1. Metrobank: A maximum of PHP 500,000 per PHP transfer, while up to USD5,000 per USD transfer

  2. Philippine National Bank (PNB): This depends on your send country and chosen payment method

  3. LandBank: This depends on your send country and chosen payment method

  4. Banco de Oro (BDO): A maximum of PHP 500,000 per PHP transfer, while up to USD5,000 per USD transfer

  5. Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI): This depends on your send country and chosen payment method

  6. Any other bank accounts in the Philippines: A maximum of PHP 300,000 per transfer

There are no daily, weekly or monthly cumulative limits. However please be aware that high-value transactions, including multiple low-value transactions over a short time period, may be delayed while the required compliance documents are gathered and verified.

There may be lower limits depending on the country where you are sending from and the payment method used to fund the transfer. Please see the relevant section in Payments for more info.

What information do I need from my recipient to send bank transfers to the Philippines?

  • Full name. Please enter your recipient’s full name. To avoid any delays, the recipient’s name should match the name on their bank statement exactly.

  • Address. We need your recipient’s city.

  • Account details. We need your recipient’s bank and account number:

    1. Metrobank: Metrobank accounts are usually 13-digits long (eg. 0123456789010). However, if your recipient only has a 10 digit number, take the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th digits (eg. 0123456789) and input them at the front of the account number. This will make it 13 digits in total (eg. 1230123456789).

    2. Philippine National Bank (PNB): Accounts are normally 12 digits long.

    3. LandBank: Accounts are normally 10 or 16 digits long.

    4. BDO Unibank: Accounts are normally 12 digits long.

    5. Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI): Account number (10 digits long).

    6. Any other bank accounts in the Philippines: A maximum of PHP 300,000 per transfer.

  • Mobile number. We ask for a contact number in case we need to provide any important updates.

  • Email (optional). We use this to send an email to your recipient with details of the transfer. This is particularly useful in case they have issues receiving the SMS notifications.

  • Sending reason. Please indicate whether it is “family or friend support,” “purchase of services,” “property payment,” or “sending fund to self”.

Please ensure that all your recipient’s details are correct. Once you make your transfer, it’s difficult for us to amend or stop the transfer, although we will always try our best to do so.
